Greek mythology, Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty and fruitfulness was identified by the Romans as Venus. It is from this goddess that we derive the word aphrodisiac. An aphrodisiac is anyone of the various forms of stimulants used chiefly to promote sexual excitement. Traditionally, aphrodisiacs have been classified into two principle groups: 1) the psychophysiological (visual, tactile, olfactory and aural) and 2) internal (food, alcoholic beverages, drinks, drugs, love potions and medical preparations."
Since time began, people have shown a popular interest in aphrodisiacs, yet, curiously, almost no scientific studies of them have been made. Scientific research has been limited to occasional tests of drugs or hormones for the cure of impotence in males. Since most

Throughout history, the vegetables and other foods to which aphrodisiac powers have been attributed contain no chemical agent that could effect a direct physiological reaction.

However debatable, the notion of an aphrodisiac may be man has chosen to elect a small but potent group of agents; (e.g., in liquid, tablet and lotion form) which produce a reaction or expression of pre-orgasmic excitement.
Some of the most acknowledged and celebrated of these include liquor, amyl nitrate, marijuana, Spanish fly, buttermilk, massage oil and most of the illegitimate members of the hallucinogenic family. The responses of these aphros vary between individuals and thus cannot be neatly compartmentalized or designated degree of effectiveness.
It is my contention and experience that the resultant condition of the body upon either ingesting or absorbing one of the aforementioned aphros might well be considered a "body high."

While musky oils, perfurmes and Brut may be included here, deodorants cannot as they serve too functional a role in daily life; as aural (or auditory) one would do well to include all the grunts resulting from the tangy eruptation of the skin vocalized in noise.
One cannot forget the inevitable squeaks of the mattress or the splish splashy welladensed song of sweat. In this author's experience, the most erotic producing agent of them all and my personal psychophysiological aphro of choice is that produced from taste.
Here, we must include all those juices that spew forth from the ejaculatory tubular mechanism (often reminiscent of a watery but warm buttermilk .. succulent and sour).
